Taking Home Two Microsoft Partner Awards in 2017

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the Microsoft Partner Awards in New Zealand. The awards are a chance for Microsoft to recognise their Gold and Silver Partners and celebrate the use of cloud technologies in customer solutions.

At Provoke, we’re proud to have picked up 12 Microsoft accolades since the inception of the awards in 2007, and had our fingers crossed for a few more wins in 2017.

The big night was last Tuesday, 11 April. Going into the evening, we had been announced as finalists for five submissions across three categories; one for Cloud Productivity, two for Cloud Platform, and two for Sales Solution Specialists.

And drumroll please…

We are proud to announce two 2017 wins! Cloud Platform, for our work with Unitec, and Sales Solution Specialist, which went to Provoker Nick Westbrook!

The Cloud Platform Category recognises innovation using Azure and PaaS to deliver customer value  -something we strove to achieve for our client, Unitec Institute of Technology. We built a student portal to connect students to their peers, teachers, and the institute - leveraging Microsoft technologies like Azure and Office 365.
Nick Westbrook, Microsoft MVP and Infrastructure Team Lead at Provoke, brought home our second win as Sales Solution Specialist of the year. Nick’s status as a V-TSP and P-Seller coupled with his leadership in the Microsoft community and extensive knowledge of Azure made him a stand-out for this year’s award.

“It feels amazing to be recognised amongst such high-calibre talent and to be awarded for doing work I truly enjoy,” says Westbrook.

“A massive thanks to Microsoft for the award and to Provoke for giving me the opportunity to succeed!”

With this year’s awards wrapped up, we are proud to walk away with two wins. We would like to extend our congratulations to all the finalists and a thanks to Microsoft for hosting a great event.

Additional thanks to all the Provokers involved in our solutions which received both finals nominations and wins. These helped us sign off 2017 with a Microsoft award count of 14 in the past 10 years.
